Site Mission
The goal of JeepWillysForSale.com is to be the ultimate online database for current and past late model Willys automobiles in North America. This includes CJs, Wagons, Pickups and more listed across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
In order to accomplish this goal we not only accept ads submitted directly to this site but also aggregate ads from popular online classifieds such as Craigslist and eBay. The goal is to get a full picture of the Willys vehicle market.
By keeping a current and past archive of listings JeepWillysForSale.com acts like a rolling database. It becomes a fair market value calculator for buyers and sellers to see what various Willys models sold for based on condition, location and many other variables.
How We Create and Manage Listings
While many of our listings are submitted directly by sellers themselves; most of our ads are created by reposting them from other popular sites like Craigslist and eBay.
How Often We Update
We update the site daily with seller submitted ads. Usually around once per week we scrub Craigslist & eBay to get a sample of Willys vehicles and they are reposted on our site. We create new listings as well as do your best to update old reposts for changes in price or other details.
3rd Party Reposted Ads
Ads that are reposted from other sources are reformatted to fit the layout of our site. All information is repopulated directly from the third party source. We include all relevant information from the third party source. The level of details provided varies from ad to ad. Because of this you may see the words “Not Listed” or “Not Provided” if the seller did not include that information.
Seller Information
We do our best to provide the most accurate seller contact information available. However from time to time the information is inaccurate or no longer working. This is particularly the case with Craigslist forwarding emails on old ads.
Please be aware that the only information we have to contact the seller is what is presented in the ad. We cannot further help you reach the seller. Should you find an ad with incorrect, outdated or non-working seller contact info; please let us know on our Contact page.
Also if you are a seller and would like your personal contact information removed regardless of the vehicle status. Please send us a message and we will remove it immediately.
Outdated or Sold Listings
When we scrub Craigslist and eBay weekly, we do our best to updated and marked old listings as Sold or No Longer Available. However from time to time ads are not properly marked and remain listed with seller information available.
As a safeguard we have included a “Last Updated” field to give our users the aging of each ad. An older ad does not mean that the vehicle is no longer for sale but could be an indicator if you have trouble reaching the seller. Should you find an outdated ad place let us know on our Contact page.
